Lutheran Church of the Resurrection is Reconciling in Christ (RIC), now what?  Join René García this Sunday as we explore a little of why our congregation has made this bold step and how we can live it out in the midst of our ministries.

René García is the Region 4 Coordinator of ReconcilingWorks: Lutherans for Full Participation, an organization that believes that God values and embraces each person as a beloved child, that the Spirit gives a diversity of gifts for the common good, and that Jesus Christ calls us to work for justice. 

His responsibilities include helping individuals and Lutheran Congregations live out Christ's inclusive call to intentionally welcome all people regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.  René holds a BA in Communication Arts - Media Studies and Spanish from Texas Lutheran University and teaches Spanish at Cinco Ranch High School in Katy, a western suburb of Houston.  He is a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Houston and resides with Jason,  his partner of 17 yrs, in NW Houston
